Karluk Siberian Huskies

Our Fundraising events, why we do, what we do!

Please come and meet us at our events listed below.

At Karluk Siberian Huskies we aim to promote the welfare of the Siberian Husky, we do this through appearances at local events and public or private functions.  Donations are sent to Siberian Husky Welfare on our behalf. All of our handlers give up their spare time to voluntary attend events & are all experienced in the needs of the Siberian Husky so can help or advise the general public if needed.

We carry public liability insurance which allows public handling and photo opportunities and three members of our team are qualified first aiders.

Our aim is not to promote our own dogs, as much as we think they are the best in the world! But to try and make sure people really understand the breed and only buy or give a home to a Husky when they are totally sure they could cope.

Far too many of these wonderful dogs are handed into welfare and rescue centres through no fault of their own. Others are simply sold through free adds or even given away when their owners simply cannot cope with them.

The Siberian Husky is not one of the easiest dogs to own and train. We urge people to learn about the breed before adding a Siberian Husky to their family, although making wonderful companions they do need lots of exercise and mental stimulation, they have certain traits which can make them difficult to live with.

If you feel a Siberian Husky is the right dog for you why not consider giving a home to a rescue Husky .

There are three legitimate organizations running breed-specific Siberian Husky Welfare schemes in the UK. They are:

The Siberian Husky Welfare Association (UK)   www.shwa.org.uk

The Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain   www.siberianhuskyclub.com

The Scottish Siberian Husky Club  www.scottishshc.org.uk
